- The Pre and Post Script experience in Sparrow gets a major upgrade! This release focuses on giving you more control, clarity, and intelligence in script creation. With guided tabs, built-in learning aids, and AI-powered assistance, writing, debugging, and organizing automation scripts is now faster, smarter, and more intuitive than ever.

- The Script Mode now includes dedicated Pre-Request, Post-Request, and Assertions tabs to help you organize your automation logic more clearly. Each tab serves a distinct purpose — preparing data, validating responses, and verifying outcomes — giving your scripts a clean, structured flow from start to finish.

Snippet & Guide Panel
- A new collapsible Snippet & Guide Panel helps you discover, search, and insert commonly used code snippets without leaving the editor. The interactive “Show Me How” section walks you through best scripting practices, making it easier to learn and apply automation logic effectively — whether you’re a beginner or expert.

AI-Powered Fix & Prompts
- Write, debug, and fix your scripts faster with Sparrow’s enhanced AI assistant. Multi-line prompt support allows you to generate complex scripts effortlessly, while the Fix Script button instantly corrects syntax errors or missing logic. Real-time red-dot indicators highlight issues as you type, ensuring cleaner, error-free automation.

- Reorganize your API requests instantly with the new drag-and-drop feature in the left panel. You can now move requests across collections or folders effortlessly — no need to recreate or copy data manually.

Cross-Collection & Folder Moves
- Move requests between collections or folders while preserving their order and hierarchy. Whether you’re reorganizing large collections or refining folder structures, every drag action updates instantly for a smoother experience.

Smart Restrictions
- Active Sync and Mock collections include built-in safeguards — requests inside them cannot be dragged out or dropped onto other collections. This ensures linked data, mocks, and sync configurations remain secure and intact.

Flow Reference Integrity
- All Test Flows stay automatically connected when a request is moved. Sparrow intelligently updates every linked reference behind the scenes so that your automated flows continue to run without any broken paths or execution errors.

Intra-Collection Flexibility
- You can now easily move requests between folders or back to the collection root. Folder drag actions remain disabled to maintain workspace stability, preventing accidental structural changes.
Please note that the
macOS build is currently unavailable
for this release due to a temporary technical issue. Our team is actively working to resolve the glitch, and once the updated version is available, we will promptly notify all users.⚠️
Known Glitches
Here’s what we’re still refining because perfection takes time:
- Certain AI models may throw execution errors or exhibit performance lags depending on the serving server.
- At times, the chatbot may display a "Something went wrong" error, though functionality resumes normally afterward.
- Query Explorer and Editor sync issues might play a bit of hide-and-seek in GraphQL.
- Dynamic variable creation might lead to partial data capture.
- Swagger YAML link is not supported while adding a Collection for Active Sync.
- Sometimes, switching models does not retain the previous logic or context.
- Fixing script errors may take more than one attempt, and AI may not always give the expected result.
- File upload for LLMs is currently in beta. You may experience occasional issues with uploading, file preview visibility, or model compatibility.
